SAILING ISLAND ZEPHYR

We bought the boat in Milford, Connecticut. We had secured a slip in the Chesapeake and wanted to get the boat south, but didn’t know if we would run into any issues along the way. We hired Captain Jeremy Vaught and his mate Captain Brian Poe of Sea Savvy Yacht Delivery and we sailed with them on a five day trip through the Long Island Sound, through New York City, then down to Atlantic City, and finally to Norfolk.  While going through NYC, we passed by the apartment that we had stayed at while Maddie was getting treatment at Sloan Kettering. It was a strange experience to see the same location from such a different view in what seemed like another world given the changes in our lives. There’s a more detailed writeup in the PDF below the photos.
