This is Jesse writing. Racing is not for Corrie since she prefers not to be in close proximity with other boats 🙂
As I mentioned in the “About” page on this site, I started racing on a Laser (a single person dinghy), then started crewing on Snipes (a two person dinghy), then I got my own Snipe. I also like racing on cruisers. For a few years I’ve been on the foredeck of a Capri 22 to run the spinnaker when conditions are good for that, otherwise I’m crew in whatever capacity needed. I’ve also started crewing on a C&C 37 when I’m back in Virginia. I hope to go on some longer across the bay races. Eventually it would be fun to try some even longer races. In the future I’ll make a post about racing on the Chesapeake once I’ve got more photos and experiences to share.
