The San Juan Islands in the Pacific Northwest is a beautiful area with some great hiking in addition to sailing. This was the first time we sailed an Island Packet. It was also the first time we were on a boat with a full keel and cutter rig, and the first time in an area with notable tides and currents. We chartered through San Juan Sailing and we were impressed with how well they take care of the boats. There’s a more detailed writeup in the PDF below the photos.
